In later years, fishing was a high priority and was always trying to get anybody to take him. ![]() An avid gardener, he spent lots of time in his garden during the summer. He was president of several hunting clubs and built and operated Sugar Hill Fox pen. An avid hunter, he loved breeding and raising hounds. He worked at Young Pecan Company his entire career and was plant manager for many years. McLellan is also survived by one brother, Reverend Franklin (Shirley) McLellan. and Mark (Rhonda) McLellan, all of Florence 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Lorena McLellan a daughter, Karen (Freddie) D’Agnese two sons, James C. McLellan, LeGrande McLellan, Bobby McLellan and Hubert McLellan. He was preceded in death by his parents three sisters, Vergie Youmans, Eloise Coleman, and Joyce Stork four brothers, S. McLellan was born in Marion County, a son of the late Samuel Cicero McLellan and Mattie Campbell McLellan. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends: Bob & Penny Musolino and Sylvia Wiese also survive. SIBLINGS: Ruth Whipps, Dick (Rachel) McClelland, Sandra (Bill) Fessler, and Lowell (Barb) McClelland. GRANDCHILDREN: Logan, Hunter and Isabella Voth. TWO CHILDREN: Melissa (Brad) Voth of Mendon, IL and Sara Gordy (Matt Higley) of Quincy. In addition to his wife, Whitey is also survived by: Steven Krause along with the staff of Blessing Cancer Center, Blessing Heart and Vascular Center and the Blessing Hospice for the wonderful care that they gave to Whitey. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Above all though, his greatest love was time spent with family and friends. Whitey also loved his 'granddogs' Bailey and Barkley. He was also always supportive of the Unity Mustang Sports, Quincy University Baseball and JWCC Basketball. Louis Cardinal Baseball, St Louis Blues Hockey, and Indiana Hoosier Basketball. After his retirement, he worked for the Unity School District in Mendon as a bus driver. Whitey was a truck driver for many years in the Quincy area. He married Patricia Taylor on August 27, 1988. He was born on Octoin Quincy the son of Ray & Helen (McNay) McClelland. Paul 'Whitey' McClelland, age 80, of Quincy, died on Saturday, Octoin his home.
